How To Improve Your Memory Through Mnemonics Starting Now

Learning how to improve your memory through mnemonics is an outstanding experience.
Here's how it works. We improve our memory by creating clues that will help us to recall our memories easily and efficiently.
The clues we use for help could be in the form of a visual image, a single word or an Acrostic (a Sentence).

A great example of an acrostic is what we learned in school to remember the names of the lines of the treble clef. "Every good boy does fine." E, G, B, D, F.
For the bass clef lines. "Good boys do fine always." G, B, D, F, A.
The fun part of making up a clue is that it could be the most outlandish thing you can think of to serve as a reminder and the brain will recall it faster and easier than trying to recall something learned by rote.

The ease in learning mnemonics is there are no hard rules to learn before you use the system. Everything is up to you in creating the triggers that will give you the recall of memory quickly. It's your game from beginning to end. You know better than anyone the types of words that have special meaning to you plus the comical and humorous situations that only you can respond to.
All you need are examples of the various methods used in mnemonics and then you are on your own to create the best way you want to remember information.
Some of the better methods are:

Chunking: This method recommends breaking a long number into smaller sections to remember it easier. For example, 890654789321 made to smaller sections would read 890 654 789 321..

Rhymes: An Example used for many Years is: "Thirty days hath September, April, June and November, etc."

Jokes: Absolutely a great way to recall an item.

Acronym: A good Example would be remembering the Names of the Great Lakes. "HOMES".

Location: Placing items to remember in certain Locations that you know well for easier recall.
Mnemonics is a favorite way of placing data into memory for many professionals. An example would be jewelers. They use this method to remember the gemstones some of their clients prefer and when they find exceptional gemstones they immediately call their clients. This always impresses the clients and it also surprises the jeweler that he remembered so well. Win-win all the way just because of an easy recall method.
Try your hand at creating a few mnemonics about information you want to remember. You can do whatever you want in creating a mnemonic using one of the known methods and see what works best for you. When you find the right method or methods you're on your way to improving your memory through mnemonics starting now.
Happy Memories.
